Intragastric Balloon

A soft, expandable, silicone balloon is placed inside the stomach through a mild sedation and a quick endoscopy.

The balloon occupies approximately a third of the stomach volume leaving the patient with a sense of fullness. It is indicated for temporary use in mild to moderately obese patients. The amount of weight you lose will depend on how closely you follow your diet and adopt long-term lifestyle changes.
